Camila Finn Biography

In a stark contrast to the future supermodels who got their starts playing with dolls and dreaming of fancy outfits, big paydays and body image issues, Camila Finn had no interest or aspiration to be a model. As her sister ended up in the health-care field, she had no siblings to push her toward modeling, but what she did have was a fateful shopping trip. On a stroll with her mother in the shopping district of Botucatu in 2002, she was cornered by Malu Ornelas, an agent for Ford Models. This initial meeting proved to be both Camila Finn's "get out of school free" card and her ticket to a completely different way of life.

After getting her feet wet as a model in Brazil, Camila Finn headed to the Big Apple in 2004 to take a crack at the big, scary world of modeling while being tutored for school on the side. By the fall of that year, she had successfully landed two solid gigs. The first was her debut on the runway as a Calvin Klein model for the 2005 Spring and Summer collection.

Following her selection as the December cover model for the Brazilian version of GQ, Camila Finn made waves in January 2005, by capturing the title of Ford Supermodel of the Year, along with a contract that guaranteed her $250K. Naturally, her industry stock rose to new heights and before the year was complete, she had ventured to the Milan runway for Gucci, showed off the Chloe and Alberta Ferretti Autumn and Winter collections, and hit the pages of the Italian version of Vogue for an editorial.
